design | host "BECAUSE THAT'T HOW WE DO IT IN DC, BABY!" - Billie Joe Armstrong so school is crap and i'm always having some nervous breakdown or another and all of my friends hate eachother -- if i still have friends-- but i don't care about that. not right now. not today. I don't know how long a contact high lasts, but i don't think it's just that. I saw Green Day in concert yesterday, and you can be a jerk off and say whatever you want about them because i know they freaking rock. they're my favorite band, and my groupie crush on Billie Joe Armstrong was multiplied by 1,000. we were there early with plenty of time to buy t shirts. They had a giant screen up near the ceiling, and you could sent text messages with your phone and have them posted up there. I sent one that said "Billie Joe, will you go out with me?" and one that says "St. Jimmy lives" and saw them up there. I also sent one that says "Is the blood mine?" to take a picture of to send to Dawn... but they never played it because the show was starting. Sugar Cult played first- say whatever you want about them too. I love them. The lead singer was wearing a pink leotard in honor of halloween... heh and he said "Every time i jump, it feels like something small is going to fall out! But you'd probably like that, you perverts!" Then, after sugarcult New Found Glory played. I <3 New Found Glory. This random guy was dressed like a giant penis (in honor of halloween?) and he got passed up on stage from crowd surfing. So yeah there was a giant penis up on stage. HA. Let me pause here and tell everyone that we (we being me, my mom, little freshman Glenn and my sister,) We had AWESOME SEATS. We were in section 117, row M. i was in seat 8. I'm not sorry we didn't have floor seats. Ours were just fine. Anyway--- the lights went out and everyone stood up and Billie Joe Armstrong rushed out on stage wearing a George w. Bush mask and from that second until the last chord we were all compleatly entertained. they played American Idiot first, then He sang us a happy halloween song to the tune of london bridge is falling down. They played Jesus of Suburbia, Holiday, Are we the waiting, Hitchin' a ride, brain stew, jaded, basket case, (lemme see,) , wake me up when september ends, Longview, >SHE<, Homecoming, Knowledge, King for a day, Minority, a cover of We are the champions, Good riddance(time of your life) --- and a few more i think... so many shenanigans did ensue. He mooned us! He got giant super soakers and squierted the crowd (haha everyone there got all wet because of Billie Joe)... he made random noises and have us copy him, and then he started moaning... hAH and he put his hand down his pants/ just for laughs and screamed "SOMEBODY FUCK ME" and i volunteered... but no one heard. no one heard anything. everything was so loud. he got random kids up on stage to play part of a song (knowledge) "Hey you, down there, how long you been playing guitar? Five years? You any good? You ever been laid? Well you're gonna get laid tonight, get your ass up here!" i wanted to get up there... but it wasn't fate. oh well. it was still awesome. The kid did a stage dive- which sucked, so he had someone else get up there to show 'em how to do it. That guy kissed Billie Joe before he dove off. he stole that idea from ME! they shot confetti out of these giant guns and i grabbed a bunch of it and stuffed it in my pocket. free souvenier. woot. So i came home tired from jumping (and thrusting my fist in the air!) and sweaty and smelling of pot- a feeling i will always connect with good times. school is crap and i'm probably going to bomb history class tomorrow but it was worth every penny i spent, evey second i spent not doing homework and dammit it was worth the sore throat (sore from screaming "I LOVE YOU!", "I FUCKING LOVE YOU!" and, my favorite, "I WANT TO HAVE YOUR BABIES!!!") It was just too awesome to talk about in a small little entry like this. ask me about it for a better version... with sound effects and guestures probably. OH YES. it was so awesome. |
